    'Virgin Earth Golden Feather Environment Awards 2011' and 'Green Golden Feather Environmen

    Team Solar, one of the world's largest renewable energy groups had instituted an award scheme for those who have done some service to protect and preserve the environment in Kerala. The awards will be presented on the world environment day every year.

    This year the awards are given to 6 persons in Kerala.

    The awards for 'Virgin Earth Golden Feather Environment Awards' are given to 3 persons.
    They are Mammooty - film star, Kochi Corporation Mayor Tony Chammany, CEO of Vallarpadam Tran shipment Terminal-DP world K K Krishnadas.

    The awards for 'Virgin Earth Golden Feather Environment Awards' are given to 3 persons.
    They are: Prof Dr S Sitaraman, renowned environmental activist and secretary of Association of Environmental Protection, Fr Johnson J Palakkappillil, Principal, Sacred Heart College and Dr Georgekutty Karianappalli, CEO, Lifeway solar.

    All the above persons are busy in their respective fields. Still they found time to spare for the cause of environment protection and improvement. Hearty congratulations to the winners.

    I too join with you in congratulating the award winners.

    Let us appreciate them for their interest shown in environment protection, irrespective of their busy daily schedules.

    More agencies and even the government should take steps to implement such activities, which can attract more people to this great cause, which is very much essential for life on earth.
