Minister says daughter will give up PG medical seat

Amid controversy over reportedly securing a seat for his daughter by paying capitation fee in a cooperative self-financing Medical college, Kerala Health Minister Adoor Prakash Tuesday said his daughter would give up the seat.

The Minister, Adoor Prakash has done the right thing. He has to be congratulated for his decision, as we find the trend all around both at the center and in states for the accused persons to stick to their position that they have done nothing wrong. The decision of the minister will cost his daughter at least one year. Her dream of PG Medical course is also delayed. The Minister's action is commendable.

The allegation against him was that he paid Rs 80 lakhs to the management of the Co-operative college, incidentally controlled by the LDF, in March,2011 before the elections and his election and appointment as minister.

The leader of opposition has raised the allegation of irregular admission. The CPIM controlled College Management has stated that there is no irregularity in the admissions. Let us hope that Achuthanandan wil follow this in case of his son and relation also and prove that he practices what he preaches.

Or is it that he is using this matter to score a point over his party colleagues? Or is it that all the sycophant medias glorifying him for the supposed miraculous performance had gone into his head and he is acting like a puritan?

of course it is a very good decision by minister...
All of the other politicians should study from this...
Not only politicians, those who are performing negative tackles for their benefit should have to study from this.....
