    Husband sold Wife to Friend

In the god's own country, the state with the near cent percent literacy, an incident like a husband selling his wife for Rs 15,000/- to his friend happened. The husband Mr Prasad, a rubber estate worker is a native of Koyithatta near Nileswaram in Kasargod district.

The husband is drunkard. He sold his wife o his friend one Manoj. The incident came to light on the wife filing a complaint in the nearby court. On the complaint the police arrested the husband. The buyer of the wife is absconding. It is really a shameful incident. A person selling another person, his own wife duly wedded to another person. What a standard of morality of both the seller and buyer.

It is very difficult to imagine of treating a person like a commodity or an animal which are being sold and resold. The case is in the court and the court will deal the same appropriately.

This types of incidents or still worse are happening around our state as being reported by medias. Our state appears to be better comparing to others.

When money becomes the main concern anything can be expected. 'God's own country' is only a slogan created for advertisement, rather to attract the tourists. What qualifications are there to call it by that name? Nature has created its own paradise here in this small peace of land. but the inhabitants of this land are trying their best to do away with all those beauty, both socially and culturally. All are after money. So the relationships have become meaningless.
