Monsoon showers more than average in Kerala

This year the southwest monsoon is more active in Kerala and the figures indicate that the amount of rain so far is more than normal. The rain got from June 1st to 10th August shows an increase of two percent compared to the average of the previous years.

However, the rainfall was not uniform throughout the State. Out of the 14 districts only seven received more rain, with Ernakulam getting the maximum. Malabar region, except Wayanad, and the districts in the central part received more compared to Southern districts.
