Self Finacing Colleges entrance test cancelled

The Kerala High court cancelled the self financing colleges test conducted by the managements for their quota on 14.7.11 for about 420 seats. One of the students filed a case challenging the results in the High court. The high court after hearing the case fund the examinations were not conducted in a transparent manner and declared the tests as invalid. The court concluded that the managements did not adhere to the norms prescribed by the PA Muhammad committee. The court also ordered the management associations to pay the costs of the petition.

The court held that the seats should be filled from the list of the Government and the management should admit the students as per the list given by the Government.

It is a pity that the Self Financing College authorities and the Government are playing with the life of some students. Why can't the Government take stern stand regarding the admission procedure and fee structure. If it cannot take such a stand what is the use of such a govt. here.
This admission issue is coming up every year, but nobody seems to be interested in solving the issue. Parents, on their side, can perhaps boycott the self financing colleges and find a solution.
