The treasure of temple should be keep there. For what use it would be shared. Maharaja of Travancore said they don't want that wealth and it is for Shree Padmanabha. If it goes under Government no surety for its proper benefit to the state. Then it is better to keep the wealth in temple and the authorities must make sure that it is safe there. No theft or corruption will be in behind that.

    Thanks

The wealth belongs to the deity of the temple. Even as per the ruling of Court case about temple it is observed that the deity is considered as person and will be represented by the administration authorities. Whatever wealth is there in the temple was donated or offered by the erstwhile Travancore Rajas, other Rajas like the Champakasseri, Kochi, Vijayanagara etc and the offering of the devotees of the deity Sri Anantha Padmanabha Swamy, the people from trivandrum, Vaishnavites from all over India, and pilgrim tourists etc.

In the 18th Century, The then Raja of Travancore, Marthanda Varma was in serious trouble from enemies and ettu veettil Pillamar. His life itself was in danger. He was a staunch devotee of the Sri Padmanabha. He dedicated the kingdom to the deity and committed himself and his successors to be the dasas of the deity. After that it seems the Raja was on the winning side always and the enemies were repulsed. He gave a big offering and their after the famous Swathi thirunal also donated large chunks of wealth to the temple. Then there were offerings from several Rajas and foreigners who have donated.

Finally in recent times, the present head of the Royal family, the Chief Minister Oommen Chandy all have declared that the property belongs to the deity.
