MLAs Performance Audit for Kerala Assembly Members
The Kerala Legislative assembly is introducing a system of audit for the elected representatives of the people of Kerala. The performances of the members in the assembly proceedings will be published in the Assembly web site. The record will have the total number of days and hours attended by the members. The number of questions raised the number of calling attentions raised and the number of occasions participated in the debates etc.This is a very welcome step. The people will know how their representatives perform in their duties as members of the assembly. There should also be a system of audit as the the work done in the constituencies for the members as well as those who are likely to contest in the next election.
