    Malayalam cinema crisis partially resolved

    Kerala Film Exhibitors' Federation, the organization of A Class theater owners, has agreed to exhibit Malayalam cinemas from this Sunday onward. They are yet to take decision on the wide release of cinemas.On 22nd they will have discussions and if do not reach on an agreement, theaters will be shut down indefinitely.

    However, new films may not be shown in theaters on Sunday.

    Let us hope that the Kerala Film Exhibitors' Federation decides to resolve the differences so that the theaters start exhibiting the Malayalam cinemas. The industry is already riddled with various crises between various organizations and the individual members of the organizations like the 'AMMA' and Thilakan and others.

    Another factor is the piracy f the cinemas into duplicate CDs. The size and the population of the state is small comparing to other states and population.All these are already affecting the Malayalam movies industry. Let us hope the industry comes up alive and kicking from the present sickness.
