The issue of Mullaperiyar dam is becoming matter of great concern as far as the people of Kerala are concerned. Any further earthquake in that area might turn out to be very dangerous. Already the warning about a strong tremor of 6.5 in the rector scale has been made by related authorities.

Our politicians seems to be not concerned seriously about it. Making a visit to the site and holding a press meet will not solve the issue. Strong action to overcome the calamity, if any, need to be taken

Absolutely, the Mullapperiyar issue is a great enigma. The scientists had only predicted the life span of 50 years for the dam. But now, it's been over a century. Still, the dam stands there as a question mark. If the dam get destroyed, four districts in Kerala will get devastated completely. But if we want to build a new dam, Tamil Nadu don't allow that since they won't get the water for use until its completion. Day by day, the issue gets more complicated. The Mullapperiyar dam is standing as a threat to everyone carrying a weird contract of 999 years. None knows what is going to happen.
