Expert team report on Mullaperiyar
Expert team after inspecting the dam, when the water level receded, has reported that the plastering throughout the length of the dam has gone. and lot of cracks are seen. The topping done with new plaster also are seen damaged. Action for the construction of new dam should be started immediately according to the report.The Minister in charge of water resources also have come out with strong words to sanction the construction of new dam. He has already cleared that water now given to Tamilnadu will be continued.
