It will be an international seminar in which experts connected with UN are expected to participate. Various nations are now interested to know the details about this 116 years old dam, hence experts from those countries also might participate. Concentration will be on the age of the dam, the impacts of earth quakes in the neighbouring areas, environmental issues and steps necessitated to avoid the calamity. It is a very refreshing idea from the Government of Kerala. If it was done earlier it could have helped the case of Kerala to a great extend. Anyway if this takes place before the S C case it may be of great help. In any case it is better late than never. In the past due to the peculiar position of politics, the state had disadvantage.and the suffering is due to those factors.
The International conference of experts in the various fields connected with dams will definitely throw light on various aspects and mainly the safety aspect of the dam and will help the Kerala State and the S C to make appropriate conclusions.
