Sukumar Azhikkod is no more.
Veteran Malayalam critic, writer, orator and social personality Professor (Dr) Sukumar Azhikkod died this morning at Thrissur. He was admitted in a private hospital there more than a month back.The cremation is planned at Payyambalam, Kannur tomorrow.
One of the orators who criticised everybody who did wrong, was a corrective force in the socio-cultural arena of Kerala. All people listened his words on all serious issues.
He was by profession a Professor of Malayalam. He retired as Pro-Vice Chancellor of Calicut University.
He had got the Kendra Sahitya Academy award for his work 'Thatwamasi'.
