Kerala schools to get virtual private network

Numbering around four thousand schools in Kerala can enjoy the benefits of internet access through a Virtual Private Network, which will be provided through a tie-up between IT@School programme and BSNL. The project cost up to 75% will be met by the Central Government under the ICT@School scheme.
A memorandum of understanding between the Government and BSNL has been signed for this project, and is expected to be in working within one month. This is, perhaps, the first project of this type taken up as part of school education.

The facility is expected to benefit 2,495 high schools, 1,236 higher secondary schools, 377 vocational higher secondary schools and 233 upper primary schools. This project will provide the possibility of real-time, online, collaborative learning for these schools.

Smart classes are on the increase in CBSC Schools and now it is good news to the state schools as well. Those virtual classes help the students in grasping more than what they could imagine in class and details every topic visually as well. This a huge leap the education sector has made and now with the introduction of smart classes state school will again rise up in quality to compete with the CBSC schools. Virtual classes have always been a dream of students and reality have availed them the chance.
