This years Vayalar award goes to Akkitham
Akkitham Achuthan Nambudiri, one of the notable poets in Malayalam has been selected for this year's Vayalar Award. The award is instituted in the name of late Vayalar Ramavarma, famous poet and writer of thousands of film and drama songs.The award committee chairman Prof. M.K. Sanoo announced the details of the award at a press meet. The award goes in recognition of Akkitham's poetical work,'Anthi maha kalam'. Akkitham's 'Irupatham noottandinte ithihasam' is another famous work which bagged several awards.
