    Biennale at Kochi from tomorrow, 12 -12 -12

    The first ever Biennale at Kochi is to start on 12th December, 2012. The festival is focusing on various art forms being done by artists from different countries. The venue is the area within Fort Kochi and Mattanchery belt. Different ancient structures there chosen as the syages for the conduct of the items.

    The festival is to last for three months. This is the first Biennale in India. The selection of this location is mainly because of the historical importance of Kochi and its nearness to Muziris, a place already identified as having historical ties with ancient business transactions with other parts of the world.

    it is a good news that the fest Biennale at Kochi. The fest aiming to attract the foreigners ,and the fest is held on the right historical place like Fort Koch. Actually it is the first Biennale in India, and hope this fest will be remembrances of our ancient culture

    Biennale is a typical festival. Unlike other festivals here the artists stay for days and create their piece of art. Again to be noted is that it is not for sale. People can come and see it and study the details. Even discussions will be arranged so that interested people can interact with the artist.
    Stage items will also be there at different locations and people can choose according to their interest. Installation is one of the special art form which finds place in this art festival.It is just utilizing certain scrapes and thrown out materials to finish in the art form, which will have certain historical as well as natural relevance.(I have posted a resource on Biennale in this site),
