Kochi Lulu mall readying to welcome you.
Finally the largest of the shopping mall is ready to welcome everybody/. Coming Sunday, 10th March, is fixed as the date of opening the same to public.It is located at Edappally junction where the two major National Highways,NH 47 and NH 17, join. Also it is entry point of Kochi Corporation area. It is spread in an area of 17 acres. The built in area of the Mall is 25 lakh square feet. An estimated cost for the construction is Rs. 1,600/- crores. Entry is provided from both the National Highways. The first Hyper market in India is set up there. Free entry will be allowed. The functioning time will be between 10 am and 10 pm.
The Mall is completely air conditioned. Almost all the international brands are represented in the Mall. At a time about 20,000 people could be accommodated inside the Mall and about 2000 cars could be parked. Plenty of escalators and elevators are provided within the Mall. Nine restaurants and 27 multi- cuisine counters will be available for those who are interested in varieties of food items. Similarly a big multiplex theatre, the largest in Kerala, is also available. A total of nine screens are there within this complex. About 2,250 people can see different movies in these different screens.
A family entertainment centre is there within the Mall, which include an ice skating centre with 5,000 square feet ice spread. Provision for conducting parties are also available. A Five Star Hotel, with 300 rooms, attached to the Mall is also coming up soon.
The work for starting a McDonald's outlet inside the Mall is also complete and will start functioning with the Mall. This is the first outlet in Kerala. of McDonald's, the largest Hamburger fast food chain of the world. Other national and international food chains also are coming into this Mall which include Saaki, Mothy mahal, Kailash Parbath, Cream Centre, Tables, etc. similarly the world renowned brands in almost all stationery and other items.
Other facilities include ATM, Bank, Money exchange, Wi-fy, Pharmacy, wheel chairs, Travels, Ambulance, Lost and found, First aid, Taxi, Baby care room, baggage counter, prayer room, Mall guide, resting rooms for physically disabled, Information desk and other common facilities.
