    Travelling through Kerala Roads.

We people who live in Kerala and those who visit this small State from other parts of the State must have experienced the difficulties faced while travelling through Kerala roads. It is unfortunate that the authorities are not concerned about the pot holes developed in almost all roads. It takes almost double the time to travel from one place to another if we go by road. The vehicle owners are worried about the damages caused to the vehicle while travelling. In fact time, money, and other things are wasted because of the travel. Very often one feels whether there is an authority to look after this. However, they are increasing the toll fees for the vehicles in different locations!

Government is promised to repair the roads after the monsoon but there is no such action taken yet. Sabarimala season is going to active on next month onwards. It's so sad for kearalites that devotees from other state experience very bad to travel on sabarimala roads.I hope government will do immediate
actions on sabarimala roads and local roads.

God's own country is now changing to devil's owned one. I don't know why our authorities have this type of attitude towards the infrastructure development of the public. Recently i came across an incident, our PW department, they were hurry in repairing the roads before rain. somehow after the heavy rain that road became more worse to travel. That type of construction work they followed.
I too had a personnel experience while travelling from Thrissur to Palakkad. Nowadays road accidents are also increasing, one reasons is the bad condition of our roads. Many travelers are coming to our state to enjoy its scenic beauty, but the pathetic condition is they became fed-up while travelling through these roads.
Government and the concerned authorities should wake up and take immediate and a permanent action against this menace

This thread is an interesting one. Same problem what every people and media are discussing. Everybody told that Govt should take necessary steps to solve this problems. Dont blame Govt.completely. mediators are responsible. They will take the tender for high amount and whole money they are not utilizing for the work. Full of corruption. The thickness and layering they are not following in a proper way. Not only that the work will starts just two three day before the rain. After that rain will start and the full work will be in trouble. The metal which unloaded on the sides of the road also crating the trouble for vehicles and walkers. In vehicle we cannot sit because of the bad condition of the road.
When we go to other state like Tamil Nadu and Karnataka we can see the difference. The roads are maintaining in a proper way. If any repair is there maintenance also will proceed very fastly.

    With Best Regards,
    Subitha
