A congress for discussing the development of Kerala

This month on three days, 26th onward,at Maharaja's College, Ernakulam about five hundred people from all the walk of life - researchers, scientists, economists,politicians,teachers,etc.- are gathering to discuss about Kerala's development.
Kerala has already been noted for its unique pattern of development. It used to be compared with advanced countries as far as the quality of life of people was considered. At the same time the income of the people and growth rate were not showing a corresponding improvement. These days a picture of improvement of infrastructure can also be seen, though these improvements are very often affecting the common man adversely.
This development congress is trying to discuss whether the progress in the State is in its right direction.
