What is seasoning of timber and why it is so importent
When a tree is cut it contain sapwood and heartwood. Seasoning is the process of removing these sapwood and heartwood from the timber.There are many advantages for seasoning. It reduces the weight, impart strength, improve resistance to decay, make the timber easily workable, impart stiffness, hardness etc. Is there any other advantages for seasoning of timber.
