    What onam brings to our life

    Onam is the festival of kerala. It is also known as the festivel of harvest.It brings welth and happiness.
    Onam brings joy to childrens and also to become a part of nature. childrens love colours and flowers are the colour of nature. Onam is the festivel of flowers.
    Onam brings all along with wealth and healt to kerela.Also IT'S the time to get together of all families.

    Onam is a period when all the people here in Kerala finds themselves in full enjoyment. Yes, this is true. If we consider the children, onam provides a sense of relaxation and also brings about pleasure down to their lives. They would be most likely seen collecting flowers from their neighbours and creating Pookkalams. Onam, for these children is utterly a period of happiness and enjoyment. Onam is blessed not only to these children. To the working classes and old people the Onam provides them too an opportunity to relax in this running world. People of a family would get together to celebrate this Onam. Today most of the people here in Kerala would be expecting the arrival of Onam. Thus here i am wishing you a happy and prosporous Onam.

    Now a days no one is ready for collecting flowers from neighbors for creating a floral carpet (Pookalam). Everyone is using ready made flowers; bought from shops and also the raising of flowers in Kerala is becoming less. Today floral carpets are not creating in houses, but in institutions as a competition. Students are really excited to make floral carpets, to wear Kerala style dresses, fun games on celebration day. Onam Sadhya is the center of attraction for Onam. Boat races are conducted in different places in Kerala and many tourists are attracted.
