Politics in kerala -the emerging scenario

There was no doubt the UDF was at a higher stature when compared to that of the LDF a week or a few weeks ago.But now the scenario has changed, one has to observe.

The failure of the Union Govt on many fronts in providing the country with a good administration that cares for the poor and the middle class is a matter of concern indeed. The steps taken by the LDF Govt in managing the problems faced by the commoners in Kerala have not also been any way appreciable.

With the Kunhalikutty episode once more gaining its new dimension the UDF has presumably lost its past integrity as well as image.Still, the mystery yet to be resolved with regard to the Kilirur episode however, cries for an action which is embarrassing to the LDF on the other hand.

Then comes the importance of the successful end to the Smart City apprehensions. The VS Govt has now gained an unexpected booster to its otherwise deterioting credibility till the end of January.

So,the dust is not yet settled and we cannot easily guess as to who will win the next Assembly Elections.

Today the Supreme Court verdict against the former Minister Sri R.Balakrishna Pillai has come out which is again not in favour of the UDF. Added to that the the budget announced by the Finance Minister is having several attractions, which might give another good certificate to the ruling LDF.
The Kerala Vimochana Yathra lead by the Opposition Leader could not make much of an impact, though they claim so. The criticisms put forth were merely negative in nature.
