Uthralikkavu Pooram is a famous Pooram festival in South India. Uthralikkavu Pooram is held at Shri Rudhira Mahakalikkavu temple situated at Wadakkanchery in Thalappilly Taluk of Thrissur district during early summer of every year.
The Uthralikakvu festival flag hoisting takes place on the second 'Tuesday of the month of Kumbham (February-March) every year. The actual Pooram is conducted after 7 days from the flag hoisting day. The Pooram festival is starting with the "Parapurappadu" which happens five days before the festival. "Para" is a type of pan which is used to measure rice or paddy grains. 
The Uthralikkavu Pooram is felicitating by grouping three teams namely Enkakkad, Wadakkanchery and Kumaranellur. Each team normally presents 7 to 11 elephants decorated with traditional trunk masks( Nettipattam), shields (Aalavattam), Fans (Venchamaram) etc. The middle elephant will have a large plaque (Thidamb). Thrissur district, the cultural headquarters of Kerala is also popular for hosting similar poorams like Thrissur Pooram, Nenmara Vallangi Vela, Arattupuzha Pooram, Chinakathur Pooram etc.
Uthralikkavu Pooram is also famous like the Thrissur Pooram with its immense programs.
