How to prepare Kerala mathi fish fry?


Kerala People likes to eat non-vegetarian dish very much. Most of them like fish fry very much because it is crispy and spicy dish. The mathi fish fry is very tasty and spicy recipe in Kerala. Do you want to taste this Kerala mathi fish fry? Here are the some steps to prepare crispy Kerala mathi fish fry.

Mathi is a type of fish which consist of rich omega-3 in it. This omega-3 is used in the form of capsule tubes which is used to improve eye power and increase immunity power. Mathi fish fry is a dark brown coloured roasted recipe. It has pleasant aroma, more taste and nice colour. In Kerala they use coconut oil for cooking which produce nice fragrance. It is very easy to prepare this fish fry and it requires only few ingredients. It requires less time for preparation. When we consume this fry in 2-3 days of a week the eye power will be improved. It improves the skin to glow
shine.

Ingredients required for kerala mathi fry


1. Mathi: ½ kg
2. Dry red chilly powder: 25 g
3. Black pepper: 1 tsp
4. Ginger: 2 tsp(paste)
5. Garlic: 2tsp(paste)
6. Salt: (as required)
7. Oil: (for frying)
8. Turmeric powder: ¼ tsp
9. Onion: 1(sliced)

Preparation methods for Kerala mathi fry


Step 1: Take all ingredients in separate plate.

Step 2: First of all, clean the fishes very neatly.

Step 3: Marinate each fish with red chilly powder, ginger garlic paste, salt, turmeric powder, black pepper powder, water and keep the marinate aside for ½ an hour.

Step 4: Pour the oil in the pan.

Step 5: Heat oil in a pan and roast the fish till both the sides become dark brown colour.

Step 6: Now the mathi fish fry recipe is ready to serve.

Step 7: Decorate the fish with onion and serve it with rice.

Extra tip: When we use coconut oil for frying the fish becomes more crispy and tasty.
