When we store any deep fried food for more than one day it will produce any harmful effects like food poison etc. But these spring rolls can be stored and consumed for 5 days. Freezing can be done to keep these dishes as it is. Whenever we want to eat we heat it in an oven or we heat it in a pan. The spring rolls are usually made up of vegetables and meat. We may also prepare spring rolls with chicken by following the steps I have given below. Just read it and prepare crispy spring rolls.
Ingredients required for Kerala chicken spring roll
1. Plain Flour(maida): 150 g
2. Water: ¼ cup
3. Egg white: 2(in number)
4. Bread crumbs: ¼ cup
5. Salt: as required
1. Boneless chicken: 900 g
2. Onion: 3 cups (chopped)
3. Ginger: 4 tsp(grated)
4. Garlic: 10-12(sliced)
5. Green chilli: 8(sliced)
6. Turmeric powder: ½ tsp
7. Pepper powder: 2 tsp
8. Garam masala: 1 tsp
9. Salt:(as required)
10. Oil:(for frying)
11. Lime juice: 1 tsp
12. Coriander leaves: ½ cup
13. Mint leaves: 10
Preparation methods for Kerala chicken spring roll
Steps to prepare stuffing
Step 1: Clean the chicken well with water. Add 2 tsp of oil in a pan and add boneless chicken in it.
Step 2: Add pepper powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, salt and little water and cook well until all water has completely dried up. Keep this aside.
Step 3: In other pan heat oil, chopped onion, ginger, garlic, green chilly and salt and stir well until the onion become golden color. Then add pepper powder, turmeric powder and stir it for few minutes.
Step 4: Add the chicken mix with the above mix, add lemon juice, cook the chicken for 10 minutes and add coriander leaves and mint leaves. Now the stuffing is ready.
Steps to prepare pancake
Step 1: Mix plain flour (maida), water, little egg white, salt and beat well until it become a liquid consistency.
Step 2: Heat the pan and pour this consistency like dosa. Bake this pancake to only one side. Keep this pancake aside.
Step 3: Stuff this pancakes with chicken stuffing and roll them. Keep remaining egg white and bread crumbs aside.
Step 4: Dip these rolls in egg white and bread crumbs until it gets fully coated.
Step 5: Deep fry this rolls in oil till it become golden color. Serve it with tomato sauce.
Extra tip: You can use corn flour for dipping makes the dish to be crispier. You can also use red chilli powder for more spice.
