IntroductionChicken biriyani is considered to be the favorite dish for people across the state. There are different types of biryanies which we ought to see in our day to day life. Chicken biriyani is one among them which is always a favorite dinner in Kerala. Attractiveness, good taste and smell makes chicken biryani an unavoidable food item. It is proven that the only food item which from children to aged people would love to have is chicken biryani. This recipe is made at least ones in a month in most of the houses.
Ingredients required For condiment
1) Chicken - 500 gram.
2) Coconut oil - 2 table spoon.
3) Chopped onion - 1 cup.
4) Chopped green chilly - 3 no.
5) Paste of ginger - 1 piece.
6) Chopped tomato - half cup.
7) Chopped garlic - 8 piece.
8) Curry leaf - 3 piece.
9) Turmeric powder - half table spoon.
10) Chilly powder - one table spoon.
11) Coriander powder - one table spoon.
12) Chicken condiment - half table spoon.
13) Pepper powder - 1/4 table spoon.
14) Curd - one table spoon.
15) Coriander leaf - a little.
16) Salt - As per taste.
For making rice
1) Basmati rice - 1 cup.
2) Ghee - 25 gram.
3) Cardamom - 3 no.
4) Clove - 3 no.
5) Rind - 3 no.
6) Chopped onion - 2 table spoon.
7) Lime juice - 1 table spoon.
8) Water - 2 cup.
9) Grape - 1 table spoon.
10) Salt - As per taste
How to prepareInitially cut the chicken into fine pieces and make sure they are fresh. Then add some salt and turmeric powder to the fresh chicken piece. Then take a bowl and pour some coconut oil to it. Keep the bowl in the oven and fix the oven for two minute in high power. Later add chopped onion, green chilly, tomato and garlic along with ginger paste, and curry leaf to the bowl and mix with the oil. Add termeric powder, chilly powder, coriander powder, chicken condiment and pepper powder into the bowl and keep it in oven for two minutes. When the condiment is all set take the bowl out and add chicken pieces, salt and curd to the bowl and fix it for eight minutes in oven under high power. Now take the chicken condiment out and add coriander leaf for it's perfect finish.
Now it's time for preparing rice. Wash the rice properly and keep it for 20 minute. Later filter the rice to take the bowl and add ghee, cashew nut and grape to it. Place this in oven and apply one minute in high power. Take the cashew nut and grape from the ghee and add cardamom, clove, rind and chopped onion to the ghee and mix it. Then apply this for two minute in high power. Mix the content well after adding rice, water, salt and lime juice and apply 10 minute in high power. Then take the bowl out to remove some rice from the top and add chicken condiment to it. Finally add the rice which was removed earlier. Here you have your delicious chicken biryani ready to be served. So do try to make this mouth watering dish and let others know your talent.
