This is a healthy nutritional dish which provide health and immunity power to the body. It is a vegetarian dish which include only a few a ingredients. Tomato is the main ingredient of the rasam. It can be had with rice or simply it can be drink.

Ingredients required or the preparation of the rasam

1 Tamarind - 1 (medium size)
2 Water - 4 cup
3 Salt - as per taste
4 Chilly powder - 2 table spoon
5 Coriander powder - 2 table spoon
6 Cumin seed - 1/2 table spoon
7 Pepper powder - 1 table spoon
8 Asafoetide powder - 1/4 table spoon
9 Chopped Tomato - 2
10 Coriander leaf - 1/4 cup
11 Coconut oil - 2 table spoon
12 Mustard - 1 table spoon
13 Red chilly - 10
14 Curry leaf - 3 no
15 Garlic paste - 5 table spoon

How to prepare the dish

First check whether the ingredients are present in front of us. Take for cup of water and squeeze the tamarind in it .Later boil it by adding ingredients such as salt, chilly powder, coriander powder, pepper powder, asafoetida powder, cumin seed and tomato. When it start boiling add the chopped coriander leaf, stir it and keep it aside. Take a pan and heat the coconut oil in it. Add some mustard, red chilly, Garlic paste and curry leaf to it. After the pop sound of mustard, pour it in to the Rasam. Dish is now ready.

This is a low budget dish favorite everybody and can be had with rice or simply it can be drink. It is a very delicious dish favorite your family and it is much special for them to have this dish with their lunch.
