The Kerala Public Service Commission has published notification for the upcoming Secretariat Assistant exam (category no: 638/2014) to be held on 16th May 2015. Candidates who wish to apply for the post need to register as per 'One Time Registration' with through the official website of Kerala Public Service Commission 'www.keralapsc.gov.in'. Those who have comleted the one time registration process can apply for the Secretariat Assistant examby logging in to their profile using his/her User- ID and password.

As the details of the profile can be viewed, candidates can rectify the defects and even take the printout of the details by clicking the link Registration Card after entering the Home Page. The personal information and secrecy of password should be kept in mind while the User ID can be used for further communication with the Commission. The notification includes the application method, qualification to apply for the written test, and last date. Only candidates born between 02.01.1978 and 01.01.1996 (both dates are eligible to apply for this post with usual relaxation to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and other backward communities.

The Secretariat Assistant exam is being conducted to appoint selected persons in the major organizations in Kerala including Government Secretariat, Public Service Commission, Local Fund Audit Department, and Advocate General's Office (Ernakulam).

As per the notification, the exam will be conducted on 16th May 2015. As the validity of the present rank list ends on 7th April 2016, a new rank list will be published on the following day. Around 3 lakhs candidates are expected to apply for the post this year while 30,000 have already registered.
