How to Reach Sabarimala Swami Ayyappan Sannidhanam in Kerala?

Sabarimala Swamy Ayyappan Sannidhanam is located in the Pathanamthitta district of the state of Kerala. When the Nada opens on the 1st of the malayalam month Vriscigam ( Nov 16th) of the malayalam calender, the pilgrimage starts bringing in lakhs of visitors into Kerala from all over the world. The temple will be open till the third week of January for the Public Dharshan.

How to Reach the Sabarimala Swami Ayyappan Sannidhanam

If you are travelling by air you can reach all the three airports of Kerala, namely, Thiruvananthapuram, Kochi and Kozhikode and also the three airports in Tamilnadu Chennai, Madurai and Coimbatore. Chennai will the be the farthest and Kochi Nedumbassery airport will be the nearest from the Sabarimala Sree Swami Ayyappan temple. Once you reach the airport you can get connection buses or trains to Kottayam / Chengannur railway stations through the broad gauge lines and Punalur railway station by the metergauge railway lines. From these stations you can reach Pampa by buses which ply in these routes regularly.
You can also avail Helicopter taxi Services from the Cochin International airport at Nedumbassery to reach Nilackal.

Transport buses from various places to Pampa

KSRTC Kerala State Road Transport Corporation has been operating buses from different parts of the Kerala state as well as Tamilnadu state.

Bus services from Chengannur, Kottayam and Ernakulam railway stations are available and you can also reserve the seats in advance. The KSRTC provides bus service to Pampa within 10 kilometers from the special service center for a groupof 40 pilgrims if booked earlier. there is no fixed timings for these buses. It will be according to the need and the seating capacity.
