Raiphi Vincent Gomez is also the winner of Border-Gavaskar scholarship and is a regular player in the Kerala Cricket Team. He is the present Captain of Kerala Ranji Trophy Team. He is an explosive batsman and a good medium pace bowler. He is the third cricket player from Kerala who has got a good international attention after S Sreesanth and Tinu Yohannan. He has been selected to join the Kochi IPL Team for the fourth season of Indian Premier League. He has been undergone training from MRF Pace Foundation and National Cricket Academy. Raiphi Vincent Gomez is the second cricket player from Kerala to be selected to play in all seasons of Indian Premier League. His astonishing batting performances in the limited over cricket format made him to be the part of Kings XI Punjab in the 2008 season of Indian Premier League. He was also one member in the Rajasthan Royals team for the IPL season in 2009.
