Kerala state has immensely benefited through the reshuffle exercise undertaken by the UPA govt.

More Ministers to please the Electorates

The Kerala state is going to polls shortly and in order to make the electorates happy the Union govt in a swift move has given considerable importance to the state by giving additional births in the Union cabinet reshuffle.

K.V. Thomas's independent charge as Minister for Food and Civil Supplies is considered as the better choice as new food security regime is going to take effect soon .

Overseas Indian Affairs Minister Vayalar Ravi is also given the additional charge of high profile Civil aviation Minsitry.

K C Venugopal makes a new entry to the Union Council of Minister with Minister of state for power.

With this the state has five strong Ministers at its disposal looking of its interest at the Center.
