Kerala Chief Minister had asked to change the Smart City CEO Mr.Fareed Abdul Rahman.

When all the disputes regarding Kochi Smart City came to an end the whole Kerala was in a happy mood. All dreamt a sweet and beautiful dream on that night. But our Chief Minister V S Achudanandan's demand on very next day had spread clouds over the Smart City Project again. In a such a joyous moment this demand was to be restricted.

Smart City - The plan

Chief Minister V S Achudanandan demanded that the Smart City CEO Mr.Fareed Abdul Rahman is to be replaced by another one. V S Achudanandan told that the demand of free hold land in Smart City was from the brain of Smart City CEO Mr.Fareed Abdul Rahman. Mr.Achudanandan added that Smart City CEO Mr.Fareed Abdul Rahman demanded that the free hold land should be outside the Special Economic Zone (SEZ) coming in connection with Smart City. The Kerala Government accused that the Smart City Project became late due to these useless demands of Smart City CEO Mr.Fareed Abdul Rahman.

Smart City CEO Mr.Fareed Abdu Rahman

Kerala Government also told that this demand was not in the Smart City deal signed earlier. It was the Smart City CEO Mr.Fareed Abdul Rahman who introduced this demand in the Smart City deal. So for the smooth implementation of Smart City , CEO Mr.Fareed Abdul Rahman is to be changed. This was informed to Dubai government. Achudanandan also accused that Smart City CEO Mr.Fareed Abdul Rahman is a drunkard and had diverted the fund allotted for Smart City Project.

Eventhough Achudanandan accused all these , the Smart City CEO Mr.Fareed Abdul Rahman is a chief official in TECOM Investments which is the real backbone of Smart City project. The Smart City CEO Mr.Fareed Abdul Rahman is the Executive Director of International Division of TECOM. The International Division of TECOM has over 60 companies around the world under it. The Smart City CEO Mr.Fareed Abdul Rahman is the real brain behind the development of Dubai Internet City. There were only 8 companies in Dubai Internet City which rocketed to 1200 companies after the Smart City CEO Mr.Fareed Abdul Rahman's joining. Similar to Kochi Smart City a Smart City is getting ready at Malta whose CEO also is Mr.Fareed Abdul Rahman. So changing such a dynamic CEO will lose the smartness of the Smart city . TECOM may not do such a suicidal attempt. So it will be a Himalayan task for Achudanandan to get this man expelled.

Urmilesh,

I also felt the stupidity in CMs demand. As a Chief Minister of a state which has world fame that most cultured people are living there,CM has to be more cautious. It is their internal matter that whom should be the CEO.A reputed company like TECOM will not put a man that is good for nothing as CEO as we does with lot of political and other influences.
