The main proposals of Kerala Budget 2011 are listed in this article for a quick reference.

Kerala Budget 2011
had put in the Kerala State assembly by the finance minister of the state Dr.Thomas Issac. Being the last budget of this government a number of projects are proposed in Kerala Budget 2011. The main proposals of Kerala Budget 2011 are listed below.
• Sabarimala Development – 1000 crore for first phase
• Cable Television – Subscription rate will get reduced
• Organic Fertilizer price will get down
• Redstone price will go down
• Soil price will increase
• 20 Crore for Grand Kerala Shopping Festival
• Prices of Pooja things will decrease
• Nylon plastic coir price will get lowered
• 5 crore for Institute of retail Management
• No tax for Pooja materials sold in and around worship places
• 5 crore for KTDC Hotels at Alappuzha and Kozhikkode
• 1 crore for Bala Sahithya Institute
• 50 Check Dams will be constructed
• Family Court at Irinjalakkuda
• Two beverage testing labs will be established
• KSFE Branches in all Metro Cities
• Health Insurance Program for Pensioners
• 182 crore Kozhikode Corporation Development
• 1 crore for Sivagiri Convention centre
• 4 crore for computerization of registration department
• 32 crore for Police Department
• 5 crore for solving the traffic jam in Kochi city
• 5 crore for bus terminal in Kochi city
• 252 crore for health field
• 10 crore for Co-operative Medical colleges
• 100 crore for Kudumbasree
• 10.5 crore for Thiruvananthapuram Corporation Development
• 43 crore for co-operative field
• Sabarilama master plan first phase will complete in next year
• 100 crore for KSRTC
• KSEB Metre Rent stopped
• 2 crore for Hungerless City
• 400 crore to complete Japan Project
• 10 New ITIs
• Rs 23000/- stipend for Medical College Junior doctors

• 25 crore Regional Cancer Centre
• 50 lakhs for Moyin Kutty Vydyar Memorial Award
• 120 Crore for National Games Stadium Development
• 12 Crore for Sports Council
• 25 Lakhs for Mercykkuttan Academy
• 35 Crore for watershed development
• Welfare Fund for house keepers
• 94 crore for National Water Way development
• 120 crore Kollam package of Road Development
• 10 new forest stations
• 2296 crore for higher education
• 30 crore for veterinary, medical and central universities
• 45 crore for Agricultural university
• 12 crore for Kochin University
• 5 crore for organic farming
• 30 crore for coconut plantation
• 75 crore construction of checkdam at Kuttanad
• 100 crore more to Haritha Fund
• Mobile Phone to all field staff in Forest Department
• Women Development Department will be established
• Facility for night stay of ladies will be implemented
• Albaraq – the Islamic Bank will be established
• Pension to unmarried ladies above 40 years
• 142 crore Trichur Package
• 80 crore for Fisheries field
• 770 crore for women welfare
• 20 crore for Endosulphan victims
• 82 crore for coir field
• Women Police constables in Night running trains
• Comfort station for ladies in public places
• 1.5 crore for self employment of widows and divorced
• Scheduled caste considerations to converted Christian students also
• 20 crore to Horticorp for the vegetable distribution
• 156 crore for the associated works of Kochi Metro
• Gratuity package for Dinesh Beedi Workers
• Rs 366/- as relief aid to fishermen
• 5 crore for Kochi – Coimbatore industrial corridor
• 9 crore to Khadi industry
• 100 crore to control price hike
• Rs 400/- as pension to handicapped
• Complete write off of Maithri House Loans
• 1 crore for Barber's Welfare fund
• 52 crore for handloom and cashew nut field
• 528 crore to local self government bodies for road development and associated works
• Free cloths to institutions that make handloom as uniform.
• 6 crore for the treatment of deadly diseased children
• Commission of ration dealers increased
• Welfare Fund for nurses and other workers of private hospitals
• 50 crore for consumer fed
• 300 rupees kit for 150 rupees through ration shops
• 75 crore subsidy for civil supply corporation
• State share for Asha volunteers increased to 300 rupees
• 10 crore for the welfare fund of out of state workers
• 2 crore for the operation of deaf children
• Welfare fund to cooks
• 10 crore for Alappuzha master plan
• 5 crore for Kodungallore City Museum
• 40 crore for Ayyankali Urban Employment program
• Monetary aid to Children's heart and kidney treatments
• 1920 crore for the development of 10 state highways
• 25 crore for compensation of National Highway development
• 3000 ration shops will be upgraded as franchisee of Civil Supply corporation
• 102 crore for land acquiring to establish IT Parks
• 20 crore for renovation of Seetharam Mill
• 105 crore for tourism development
• Insurance of Rs 10000 for each new born baby
• Welfare Pension increased from Rs 300 to Rs 400
• The state share for Anganavadi teachers increased to 1000 rupees
• 40 lakhs families will be recognized as BPL families
• 20 transformers will be built by KEL
• National Knowledge Centre at Perumbavoor
• 50 crore for Keltron Renovation
• Perumbavoor Travancore Rayons will be renovated
• Mineral Research Institute in KMML Campus
• Vizhinjam project will be completed in two phases
• 150 crore for first phase of Vizhinjam project
• 5 crore for the initial works of Spice Rout Project
• 1 crore for museums
• 15 crore spinning mill in Malabar Spinning and Weaving
• 10 crore for Kannur airport
• 15 crore for the land acquisition of Kannur Airport
• Kannur airport will be completed in two years
• 62 crore for KINFRA parks
• 12 crore for Gas Pipeline
• 141 crore for 12 hydro power projects
• Survey of North South Highway will be conducted
• 160 crore for Thankasseri port development
• 761 crore for Ponnani port
• 25 crore for Kozhikode Airport
• 250 crore for Thiruvanathapuram package.
• 40000 crore will be collected from interest less institutions
• Two new state highways
• 1000 crore By pass package
• Hill way from Parassala to Kollam
• 10 state highways will be developed
• Coastal way from Poovar to Ponnani
• 36 District roads will be double lined
• Loan taking sanction to Road Fund Board and Roads and Bridges corporation
