Malayalam Film Critics Award 2010 Announced
Malayalam film critics Award for the year 2010 has been announced. Mammotty bagged the Best actor award for his performance in Pranchiyettan and Kavya Madhavan bagged Best Actress Award for her performance in Gaddama.
Malayalam Film Critics Award 2010
Malayalam Film Critic Award 2010 was announced on 26th February by Atlas group Chairman, M M Ramachandran and the President of Film critics Association, Thekkinkad Joseph. Gaddama,the movie which shows the real life of a gaddama in arab countries, directed by Kamal bagged the Best Malayalam film of the year 2010 by Malayama Film Critics Association. Mammootty bagged the Best Actor award for his Performance in Prachiyettan and the Saint. Kavya Madhavan was declared as the Best actress for her role as Aswathi in the movie Gaddama. Her performance in the same movie also helped the movie to get the best movie of the year. Kamal got the Best Director Award for directing the movie Gaddama. A total of three awards were secured by the movie 'Gaddama'.
Makaramanju, directed by Lenin Rajendran was selected as the Second Best Film. Ranjith again got the Best Script Award for his work in Pranchiyettan and the Saint which he himself directed. He had secured the same award for the same movie in Vanitha Film Awards. Biju Menon was adjudged as the Second Best Actor Award while Samvritha Sunil got the Second Best Actress AWard for their roles in various films. Vinod Mankara was adjudged as the Best Debut Director for directing the movie Karayilekku Oru Kadal Dooram. Chalachitra Rathnam Award was awardd to Veteran director K S Sethumadhavan while Jagannatha Varma, Santhakumari and Bichu Thirumala were chosen for Chalachithra Prathibha honours of the Association. The Best Popular movie was shared by Janakan and Shikar. Salim Kumar got the Special Jury Award. The awards are sponsored by the Atlas Group.Award Details
