Maha Shivaratri is one of the biggest festivals of Hindus devoted and dedicated to Lord Shiva. Maha Shivaratri for the year 2012 will be celebrated on 20th March 2012 in countries like India. And it is based purely on the Hindu calendar. But in countries like USA, Canada, UK, Australia, New Zealand, the celebrations will be on 21st March 2012. Maha Shivaratri is fully a devotional festival with Shiva pujas, Shivratri fasting etc.
