The kochi IPL team has sorted out their all problems regarding the team name, logo and their home ground. They have come up with their new name as Kochi Tuskers Kerala and now it's the time to play. Kochi Tuskers Kerala will play their first match in the IPL 4 against Roya Challengers Bangalore on 9th April in their home ground, Jawahar Lal Nehru International stadium at Kochi. All Kochi IPL team fans are eagerly waiting for the match to begin. Srilankan Player Mahela Jayawardane will lead the team. Geoffrey Lawson of Australia will coach the Kochi team players. The BCCI didn't allow the Kochi team franchisee to change their home ground to Gujarat. This positive decision from BCCI helped the Kerala IPL fans to watch more matches at Kochi. Players Profile


Kochi team has selected 22 players (10 international players and 12 domestic players) for the IPL season 4. Magela Jayawardane, the former captain of Srilankan Cricket team is the captain of the Kochi Tuskers Kerala team. Geoffrey Lawson of Australia will coach the Kochi team players. Tanmay Srivastava is one of the better openers going around in Indian domestic cricket. Like many an Uttar pradesh player, he started early. Strong Under-19 performances got him a place in the Challenger Series even before he could play first-class cricket for UP. His first season with UP was not great, but he kept doing well for India Under-19, making it to the tour of South Africa where he performed strongly. In the U-19 World Cup in Malaysia same year, he finished the tournament's top-scorer with 262 runs, including a vital 43 in India's victory in the final against South Africa. He was contracted by Kings XI Punjab for the IPL, and followed it up with a strong first-class season, ending as UP's leading run-getter in 2008-09.
