In this article i shall explain how to prepare a delicious variety dish called fish molee which is sure to tickle our taste buds.It is a variety dish from the regular Kerala fish curries which we prepare regularly at home. It is quite easy to prepare yet delicious

Ingredients:

Fish(king fish is a good option)- 1/2 kg
onion(sliced)-1 big
ginger(sliced)-11/2" piece
garlic(sliced)-5 cloves
green chilli(slit lengthwise)-4nos
curry leaves-2 sprigs
coconut milk powder-4 tbsp
turmeric powder-3/4 tsp
cumin powder-1/2 tsp
pepper powder- a pinch
coriander powder-21/2 tbsp
tomato-1(cut to 8 pieces)
cooking oil-3 tbsp
vinegar-3tbsp
salt-to taste

Preparation:

Head oil in a thick bottomed vessel.Add onion, ginger, garlic, green chilli and saute well.Once it is saute, add the masala powders(It is good to mix the masala powders together in water and then add since it avoids the burning of masala powders).Once the oil starts separating from the masala, add the tomato, just saute for a moment. Then add the coconut milk(which is prepared by adding 5 glasses of water to the coconut milk powder). Now add the salt and see the taste.Once it boils, add the fish pieces.Boil for around 8 minutes so that
the fish is cooked. Now add the vinegar, just swirl the vessel so that the vinegar is mixed well.Switch off the stove. This curry goes well with rice as well as appams(laced pancakes).

Note: If you need a thicker gravy, add little thick coconut milk just before turning off the stove.
