Ramzan Kerala Recipes

Some Ramzan recipes of meat, prawn and egg are given here. These recipes are rich of protein. At the same time kids and adults liking these recipes due to its taste. The rich protein content recipes for kids and are very easy to make and very less time is required for preparation.


Here are some Ramzan recipes of egg, meat and prawn suitable for serving at evening tea time. Kids will like it very well due to its flavor and shape. Mothers should try these for their kids. We can serve these at evening tea time.

1.Meat nest


Meat nest is a nest shaped dish and we can made it by any meat such as chicken, beef, or mutton. Due to its nest shape kids will like this dish much more.

Ingredients
1. Beef/ Mutton/ Chicken- 500 gm
2. Coriander powder- 1 tea spoon
3. Chilly powder- 1 ½ tea spoon
4. Turmeric powder – ½ tea spoon
5. Big onion – 1 Nos
6. Potato - 250 gm
7. Egg (Chicken) boiled- 3 Nos
8. Semiya (fried) – 150gm
9. Egg (Chicken) – 2 Nos
10. Salt – to taste
11. Coconut oil – ½ kg

Preparation method
Cut the meat in to small pieces and mix it with coriander powder, chilly powder, turmeric powder and salt then cook this mixture in a pressure cooker thoroughly, after cooking crush the meat in to paste.

Then boil the potato and grind it well.

Chopped the onion and fry it in a pan with some oil then add crushed meat and grinded potato stir it very well, take this mixture and rolled it in the shape of a small ball, insert a half piece of boiled egg in the middle of this ball then rolled it once again and dip this ball in fried semiya. Then fry this meat balls in coconut oil, the delicious Meat Nest is ready.

2.Banana egg fry



Ingredients
1. Banana – 500gm
2. Cashew nut – 100gm
3. Dried grapes – 25gm
4. Egg(Chicken) – 3 Nos
5. Sugar – to taste
6. Salt- to taste
7. Cardamom
8. Ghee- 1 tea spoon
9. Coconut oil- 250 gm

Preparation Method
Cut the banana in to small pieces and fry it with coconut oil after fried take it from oil and allow to drain.
Make a mixture of egg with cardamom, sugar and salt.
Heat some ghee in a pan fry the cashew nuts and dried grapes mix it with fried banana and egg mixture. We can serve it as snacks at tea time.

3.Prawn roll


Prawn ball is a ball shaped dishes made by prawn and rice.

Ingredients
1. Boiled rice
2. Salt – to taste

Dipped the rice in the water for 2 hours and grind it in a mixture grinder with salt and little water this mixture is used to making rolls.

Ingredients for filling
1. Prawn (Small) – 500 gm
2. Coconut minced- Half part of a coconut
3. Garlic – 4 Nos
4. Big Onion – 2 Nos
5. Green Chilly- 3 Nos
6. Ginger – A Piece
7. Chilly Powder – ½ tea spoon
8. Turmeric Powder – 1/s tea spoon

Preparation Method
Mix the prawn with some chilly powder and turmeric powder and fry it in a pan with some oil and allow it to drain.

Heat some oil in a pan then add chopped onion, minced coconut, sliced ginger, crushed garlic, chopped green chilly, chilly powder and turmeric powder stir it well then mix it thoroughly with prawns, that we have fried before.

Take the mixture of rice and make small rolls then fill the prawn mixture and allow it to cook on steam for 15 minutes.
