Special Onam trains to Trivandrum or Thiruvananthapuram & Mangalore
It's a happier moment for all Malayalees. There will be special trains to Trivandrum or Thiruvananthapuram & Mangalore during Onam & Ramzan season. The Southern Railway has announced the details of 5 special trains to Mangalore & Trivandrum or Thiruvananthapuram & note that the ticket reservation is available only from 24 August 2011. The details of the train are
1.06067/06068 Chennai central-Mangalore-Chennai central (Coimbatore via): This train begins service from Chennai central at 8:45 PM but will reach Mangalore by next day at 1 PM only. 06068 train will begin service from Mangalore at 8:30PM & will reach Chennai by 12:25 noon on the next day. Please note that the trains will have one AC two tier, three tier coaches, 13 sleeper class, 4 general & two luggage compartments.
The stops of these trains are Arakonam, Katpadi, Jolarpetta, Selam, Erode, Thirupur, Coimbatore, Palakkad, Shoranur, Kuttipuram, Tirur, Kozhikode, Vadakara, Thalassery, Kannur, Payyanur, Kanhangad & Kasargod respectively.
2.06304/06303 Nagercoil-Mangalore-Nagercoil(Trivandrum or Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam town, Shoranur) via Kannur: The 06304 train will begin the service on 29 August 2011 at the Nagercoil junction but will reach Mangalore by 10:30AM only. On the other hand the 06303 train will begin service on 30 August 2011 at 1:30PM from Mangalore & will reach Nagercoil by 4:45AM only.
There will be AC two tier, two AC three tier, 7 sleeper classes, 4 general & two luggage compartments. Here the stops are Iraniyal, Kuzhithura, Neyyatinkara, Trivandrum or Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Kayamkulam, Chengannur, Thiruvalla, Kottayam, Ernakulam town, Aluva, Thrissur, Shoranur, Kuttipuram, Tirur, Kozhikode, Vadakara, Thalassery, Kannur, Payyanur, Kanhangad & Kasargod.
