Santhosh Trophy 2012 Kerala team lead by Joby Joseph is set for the game. The Kerala team has been announced for 66th National Santhosh trophy tournament held on Orissa by Kerala football association president K M I Mather. The team will lead by the goal keeper Joby Joseph. The team start their journey to Orissa here on Monday from Ernakulam and likely to reach Cuttak at wednesday with hope of bringing Santhosh trophy into Kerala.
Kerala team for 66th national Santhosh trophy football tournament has announced by the Kerala football association president K M I Mather here on May 3. The team will be lead by the goal keeper Joby Joseph. M. M. Jacob is the chief coach of the 2012 Kerala Santhosh trophy team while Rajeev Kumar assists him in the duty. Davood will be the team manager for the event.
Kerala team is go with hope of bring the trophy in to Kerala from Orissa. Officially, the commencing of Santhosh trophy 2012 should be started on May 15. However, the Kerala team should play in cluster 2 contests against Thripura and Himachal Pradesh. The play against Tripura will be commenced on May 11 and the play against Himachal will be commenced on May 15.
Kerala football association announced final 20 players' squad for the event 66th edition of the National Football Championship for the Santosh Trophy which will be played from May 11 to 27 across Orissa. The team is selected by observing the practice session of last months held at Kerala football camp for Santhosh trophy and chosen the strongest possible combination for the Santhosh trophy.
The team will include the following list of players.
Kerala team for 66th edition of Santhosh trophy started their journey from Ernakulam south railway station at Monday evening 4.40. The group will consist of 25 members. They have to travel to Cuttak in Orissa through Ernakulam - Patna express. The train will be likely to reach Cuttak on Wednesday early morning 4 AM. In the last year the team got journey to Assam through the airline. But this time they only get the journey through sleeper coach of train. This lead to the bad following of Kerala sports authority towards Kerala football team. They have forgotten to give them good encouragement to participate in this national event.
This time Kerala team will face tough contest in the quarter league on Santhosh trophy 2012. After overcome the cluster round Kerala team will join in the group A that consist of Bengal and Panjab. There may be a chance of Maharashtra also enter in to this group. If this happen it has been assured that the play will be toughest one. Kerala team put quite hard work to reach the trophy. Any how captain and coach hopefully expect the dream of bring 66th National Santhosh trophy in to Kerala. Let's hope a mind blowing play from the Kerala in the forthcoming tournament that brings the national trophy in to our state. We can pray for them in this regards.
