Santhosh trophy 2012 Kerala vs Services Semi final will be held. Kerala team has reached closer to touch the trophy with their lip. Kerala team will face Services in semifinal of 66th national Santhosh trophy football tournament at Barabathy stadium Cuttak on Friday 25-5-12. In second semifinal Tamilnadu will face Manippur on Saturday.
Kerala team enters into Semifinal of 66th national Santhosh trophy football tournament held on Orissa. Kerala team will face Services in Semifinal. Kerala team has defeated Punjab and Maharashtra in quarter league and takes draw against Bengal in the root of semifinal. Kerala team has faced comparatively tough teams in the quarter league. Any way smarty's of Kerala boys in captaincy of Joby Jospeph has reached a remarkable semifinal entry through great performance during the entire tournament. In the first match of quarter league Kerala team has defeated Punjab with score 2-1. The winning goal has come from the leg of Shibinlal on injury time. Kerala team has played well in the first half of the match in the leadership of midfield play maker Rahul and Rasi and the striker Rakesh. Punjab team often faces fear of goal from the movement of Kerala team but unfortunately they have scored first goal in the match at 37th minute. Kerala team has not ready to fail in this match and they lead the attack to Punjab goal face and this will results in draw goal at 72nd minute by Sajith through a beautiful header. This goal has given much motivation for Kerala guys and they scored winning goal in Climax minute. In second match Kerala held a draw against Punjab. Both of the team played well and this avoid single goal in to post. Unfortunately Kerala team has misses Penalty in 65th minute. In third match of Santhoshy trophy quarter league Kerala team has take over a fabulous win against Maharashtra at 3-1. Star striker Kannan has scored two goals for the winning team. Maharashtra has scored first goal in 9th minute of first half through a penalty. But this goal do not lead Kerala team to hasty and they have scored draw goal in 17th minute. Both of the team not ready to fail, and leads the attacks to either side. Kerala team will face services in semifinal. Services have taken a draw in the last match against Orissa to reach semi as the second placer in group 2. Kerala team has in the hard practice session to make a place in to final. Players didn't go for the celebration after entering into Semi final, they have put hold their celebration to last win. The players get a lot of compliments and congratulations from all part of the state. Let's hope Kerala should enter into final to earn the trophy after 2006. Manippur will face Tamilnadu in second semifinal here on Saturday.
