Mammootty to promote Mohanlal movie Spirit? Mega star Mammootty is coming to act in Mohanlal's film. People are eagerly waiting to see their combination in films. Whenever they joined, it had done well in the box office and became a megahit. Now Mammooty is coming not to act a role in Mohanlal's film or he is not appearing as a guest,he is going to act in an advertisement for promoting the film "Spirit". "Spirit" the most awaited Mohanlal movie in 2012 which is going to hit the screen on 14th June. Ranjith-Mohanlal magic is coming again after a long break of four years. Evergreen super hits "Devasuram", "Aramthampuran" and "Ravanaprabuhu" are created from this magic. "Chandrolsavam" and "Rock n roll" are the last movies they combined,but failed to impress the people. Now the team is back with their new movie "Spirit" which has many things in special.

"Spirit" is produced by Antony Perambavoor under the banner of Aashirvad cinemas. In this movie Mohanlal will be featured in the role of a novelista, Raghunandhan who is up with a novel "Spirit". He is an egoist while people don't want to talk with him . Thilakan and Nedumudi Venu are joining through this movie after a long break. Kaniha has played the role of heroine. The film is coming with a lot of specialties. It was completed within 30 days which really reduced the cost of production to a larger extend. Commonly a Mohanlal movie will take two or three months to complete and the cost will be more than 5 or 6 crores. Here Antony Perambavoor made a model by reducing the cost.

Initially Prakash Raj was to act the role of villain. But as he demanded three crores to essay the role, Shankar Ramakrishnan replaced Prakash Raj which reduced the cost.

Initially Ranjith decided to call Chief Minister Oommen Chandy for the promotion of the movie. But later decided to cast Megastar Mammootty to act in an advertisement to promote the movie "Spirit". It is for the first time in Malayalam industry that Mammootty is coming to promote a Mohanlal movie. "Spirit" was decided to be released on 7th June but as Mammooty was on tour the release date has also postponed due to the upcoming shooting of the advertisement.
