Shikha Nair to romance Dulquer Salmaan in Theevram
Actress Shikha Nair makes her dream debut as heroine to Dulquar Salmaan for the upcoming malayalam movie Theevram directed by debutant Roopesh Peethambaran. Young Sikha Nair would make her acting career promising with a dream debut casted opposite to Dulquer Salmaan in Roopesh Peethambaran's upcoming malayalam movie Theevaram. Being a new comer, the actress had grabbed a lot of attention which would make her way smooth to clinch up better roles in the future. 19 year old Shikha Nair who was born and brought up in Dubai has completed her 12th grade. It would be a rare break for a youngster getting an opportunity to step into the world of stardom in a fortnight who never had contributed her face for modeling, ads or movies.
After spending years in UAE, Shikha and her family came back to India. Shikha who was much determined to make her film debut with a strong leading character was undergoing training under a film maker to play the lead lady in an upcoming tamil movie. Roopesh Peethambaran who was making his directorial debut was searching for a fresh face got to see the photos of Shikha which eventually landed in casting her as the heroine.
Any way her strong determination to move ahead with 'Theevram' was wise as she was casted opposite to Dulquar Salmaan who already had made his space clear in the minds of people only acting in two movies. Shikha felt comfortable during the early days of the shooting where she was given complete support by the director and her co-star Dulquer. It is much interesting to know that Shikha's sister Megna had worked with Dulquer in the movie Usthad Hotel as one of his sister who is now showered with offers.
While Shikha had plans to pursue her higher studies aboard now has turned to do it in India thinking of keeping her acting career also close to heart. The shooting of the movie has almost finished and the makers plan to reach the movie in theatres in November 2012.
Roopesh Peethambaran, had acted in critically acclaimed 'Spadikam' donning the character role of Mohanlal's childhood. Coming under the genre of dark thriller, the movie Theevram would focus on giving a socially relevant message through the outburst of a youngster towards the legal system in the country. Dulquar will be supported by Dulquer Salmaan, Shikha Nair, Sreenivasan, Riya Saira, Anu Mohan and Vishnu Raghav in the movie.
Theevram will be produced by V.C Ismayil under the banner of VCI Movies. Roopesh will be introducing Roby Abraham, a new music director through this movie. Hari Nair will crank the camera while Theevram will be distributed by LJ Films (owned by Lal Jose) after Thattathin Marayathu.
