Eravikulam National Park
Eravikulam National Park is one among the best recommended tourist spots in south Kerala. Neelakurinji flowers in this National Park have attracted hundreds of tourists from all over the world. Neelakurinji, as the name suggests is blue colored flower that blooms once in twelve years.

During earlier years, place was a hunting preserve for British planters. Park was then forked over to Kannan Devan Hills for tea plantations. Apart from Nilgiri Tahr, you can also see here a wide range of species like Nilgiri langur, Nilgiri marten, elephant and ruddy mongoose. Presence of species like small clawed otter, dusky striped squirrel and Nilgiri wood pigeon in Park presents a wonderful world for visitors. Amazing flora is a highlighting feature of this Park.
You can find here an exotic range of flora like microtropis ramiflora, tripogen bromodes and eupatorium adenophorum. This place also beholds the extinct variety of orchids like brachycorythis wightii.
As said earlier, Anamudi peak in the interior of Eravikulam National Park beholds a wonderful range of flora and fauna. It is located about 2695 m and shelters a wide range of animals. Atukkad waterfall is another scenic spot near Eravikulam National park. This place is located about 2kms away from Munnar town.
Echo point, an ideal place for trekking is another place that attracts tourists across the world. It presents great panoramic view of area to visitors.
