After Kannamkuzhi, river remains calms and smooth till Thumburmuzhi.

Amazing wildlife is a peculiarity of Athirappily waterfalls. Animals seen in this wildlife include tiger, leopard, bison, sambar and Asiatic elephant. Apart from animals, four south Indian species of hornbills is another highlighting feature of Athirappily.
