Koothambalam
Traditional dance theatre known as Koothambalam is the only one in Kerala which is built outside temple. Koothambalam is 7.31m wide and 14.62m long. It is supported with four wooden pillars and can be divided into three different types. One part is aniyara or green room. Second part is rangam or stage which is meant for audience. Third part is the place where drum is kept. This part is known as mridanga-patha.
