Munnar stands for 'three rivers'. These three rivers are Muthirapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundaly. These three rivers join in the Munnar town.
From Kochi 130 km road journey through Vytila,Thrippunithura, Kolencherry, Muvattupuzha, Kothamangalam, Adimali rout one can reach Munnar.
