R.Sreekandan Nair is the vice-president of Asianet and the anchor of Nammal Thammil show in Asianet. He has completed 25 years in the field of broadcasting. He was born in 1959 to the late N.Raman Pillai and Janaki Ammal in Kottarakara. He started his career as a lecturer at Sree Keralaverma college, Thrissur. Later he joined All India Radio and worked there for 18 years and in 203 he joined Asianet telecommunications.

* Won Akashavani award for the best radio documentary - The Prisoners of Unrest
* Won best anchor award thrice from Government of Kerala - Nammal Thammil talk show
* Selected as a jury member of the International EMMY awards.
* Books - Pathira Sooryan (play), Aadiyil (A)sleelamundayi (stories)
* Screenplays for films 'Naalamkettile Nalla Thampimar' and 'Rajatantram'.
