The Actor-Director and producer Lal's new venture will be on screens from 25th December. The film will be a strange romance comedy thriller. Lal looking to set rare trend in Malayalam film industry with his youngster artists who are leading the key roles in Tournament.

The commercial hit director Lal presents his new upcoming film 'Tournament' which is ready to release on 25th December. The actor cum director lal is on a successful ride with the complete success of 2 Harihar Nagar and 'Ghost House Inn''. The unusual thing in this film is the emergence of a group of new comers. He is taking risks by presenting a bunch of youngsters in the lead roles including eight boys and one girl in his new Malayalam film Tournament which says a story of the youngster's journey and the events happening on their way. Lal is also having other roles in this film of distributer, story writer and producer by sharing with PNV Menon. The film reaches in theaters under the banner of Lal Creations. Lal has made this film as a journey movie with the incidents in the journey of some young friends. Lal is focusing a strange hit through this film Tournament.

Behind the Camera

The director Lal himself has written the story of the film and the experienced hands of Senior Cameraman Venu has been moved the camera for this film. Depak dev has given the music of five songs which is written by Vayalar Sarathchandra. Tournament is the first film of Deepak with Lal. After Puthiya Mugham, Deepak Dev has done a tremendous work in this film's songs. In addition to production and direction, Lal also is handling Story, screen play and distribution for the film 'Tournament'. Editing of the 'Tournament' is done by V. Sajan.

The Performing artists

Tournament is a youth movie in which acting Fahad Fazil (Shanu) , Praveen, Manu and Roopa in the lead roles. Fahad Fazil better known Shanu, who is the son of famous senior top director Fazil, is playing in main role. He was already proved his ability as an actor in Malayalam film field in Fazil's film "Kayyethum doorath" and recent film Kerala café. Another important role is doing by manish, who is debuting in this film. The other boys are new comers except john who has acted in some films. The heroine is Rupa Manjari who has finished her first film in Kollywood as heroine in the romantic comedy film Thiru thiru thuru thuru. She is now testing her luck in Malayalam film industry in outstanding director Lal's Tournament by doing the role of a wild life photographer.

About Synopsis of Tournament

Tournament depicts the story of six youth cricketers Viswam, Usman, Balu, Bobby, Chilambu and Subu, who are selected in the Kochi IPL team to play the tournament in Bangalore. Their friend, Aswathy who is a wild life photographer, also joins with them. Unfortunately they missed their flight to Bangalore and they planned to go by road. The story progresses with the events which are happening on their way to Bangalore.

Best parts in Tournament

The main highlight of this film is its director Lal itself who is in the winning path of In Harihar Nagar series. The best part is the appearance of actress Rupa Manjari who is playing a lead character in this film as a wild photographer. She has got a beautiful chance here to start in Malayalam. The best performance of Venu with camera provides high quality color rich scenes to the film. Especially the song sequences are brilliant works just like in Priyadarsan film. Deepak Dev has tried to give his best music in Tournament, after Puthiyamukham. The songs which are starts with "Nila Nila" and "Mayile" are already clicked in the hearts of music lovers. "Karthik who became popular by the song "Akale Akale" in the film of Syama Prasad's 'Akale' has done a good job by singing the song "Nila Nila".
