IPL 4 Auction: Gambeer is the Costliest player and Lara & Ganguly are unsold
DLF IPL 4 has scheduled from April 8 soon after ICC world Cup Cricket. 10 IPL teams which include the new teams Kochi and Pune warriers are going to face to face each other in IPL 4 season. For IPL 4 2011 first day auction was held on January 8th at a luxury hotel in the IT hub of Bangalore. When close the opening auction day of IPL 4 there is 72 players confirmed their place while 16 players went unsold.
Kolkata Knight Rider's players
Indian Team opener Gautam Gambhir on Saturday was bought by Kolkotta Knight Riders at biggest price of 11.04 crore Indian rupees (2..4 million U. S. Dollar) in the IPL season 4 auction. In the opening day of IPL 4 auction, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) has made some striking purchases including Goutham Gambheer for a enormous $2.4 million.
KKR also bought all-rounders Yusuf Pathan (Rs 9.66 crore) and Jacques Kallis (Rs 5.06 crore) for the fourth season of IPL event which is to be commenced from April 8 to May 20. Brad Haddin also has taken by KKR for $325,000. There are three other Indian players crossed the 2 million, Yusuf (USD 2.1 million), Rohit Sharma (USD 2 million) and Robin Uthappa (2.1 million).
Delhi Daredevil's players
Irfan Pathan has got surprise amount of 1.9 USD million(Rs 8.74 crore) from Delhi Daredevils. Australian David Warner and James Hopes have gone to Delhi for $750,000 and $350,000 respectively. Delhi Daredevils also caught Naman Ojha for $270,000.
Kochi IPL Cricket players
Kochi came forcefully by spending $ 6.92 million. Kochi has bought Mahela Jaya vardhana, who was the most costly foreign player with the amount USD 1.5 million (Rs 6.90 crore). He is expected Captian of Kochi IPL team for its first season. Kochi has kept Sree Santh by giving about 4 crore of INR after bidding VVS Laxman for $400,000. Sreee Santh is quite happy to play for his native team. Also Kochi IPL took all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja for $950,000. Kochi team has spend $290,000 for Wicket-keeper batsman Parthiv Patel. Team Kochi bought the services of pacer RP Singh for $500,000
Pune Warriors players
Pune Warriors had spent just close to Kochi with $ 6.87 million. Pune warriors have owned Robin Uthappa for astonishing USD 2.1 million (Rs 9.66 crore). Pune Warriors, who are getting ready to play their first season, opened their account by grabbing Yuvraj Singh for USD 1.8 million (Rs 8.28 crore approx) after bidding Tim Paine for $270,000. Kochi was the biggest opponent against Pune for Yuvaraj. Pune also has been taken the ODI captian of South Africa for $500,000.
Mumbai Indians players
Mumbai Indians got Rohit Sharma for high amount of of USD 2 million (Rs 9.2 crore) and David Jacobs for $190,000. Mumbai Indians got the services of Rohit Sharma for $2 million. Mumbai Indians also bought Australian all-rounder Andrew Symonds for $850,000.
Royal Challengers players
Royal Challengers Bangalore has purchased seven players for $7.95 million on the first day. Only $1.05 million is remaining in their fund. They had kept Virat Kohli from the last year's side. RCB bagged striking batsman Saurabh Tiwary for $1.6 million. Royals bought South African all-rounder Johan Botha too for $950,000. Vijay Mallya's Royal Challengers bagged South African batsman AB de Villiers for $1.1 million, Zaheer Khan for $900,000 and Sri Lankan all-rounder Dilshan for $650,000.
Deccan Chargers players
Deccan Chargers is waiting for players on Sunday as they are still left with $3.5 million after buying Shikhar Dhawan and JP Duminy for $300,000 each. Deccan Chargers took Sri Lankan skipper Kumar Sangakkara for $700,000. Deccan Chargers took Kevin Pietersen for $650,000.
Punjab Kings XI players
Punjab Kings XI grabbed wicket-keeper batsman Dinesh Karthik for $900,000, David Hussey for $1.4 million and Shaun Marsh and $400,000. Kings XI Punjab took easily Adam Gilchrist for $900,000.
Chennai Super Kings players
Chennai Super Kings was very clever by buying Australian Michael Hussey for $425,000. They also bagged Wriddhman Saha for $100,000 to Chennai.
Rajasthan Royals players
Rajasthan Royals bagged Rahul Dravid for $500,000. Rajasthan also reserved New Zealand ODI Captian Daniel Vettori and Brendon McCullum respectively for $550,000 and $475,000. Rajasthan Royals then bagged the services of New Zealand's Ross Taylor for $1 million
