Saurav Ganguly to be Mentor of KKR

The former captain of India Suarav Chandidas Ganguly, hope no one have forgotten the name of India's most successful captain. It was in 2000 when cricketing world was hit by the match fixing scandal. India was no free from the scandal, the former captain of India Azharudin , Ajay jadeja and Mannoj prabhakar was Culprits of match fixing and were thrown out the team. In the year 2000 cricket India was going through its biggest crisis ever, even the captain of the side is was involved in the match fixing scandal.

BCCI faced the huge challenge of replacing the captain; the option for BCCI was to choose Master blaster and the prolific man of Indian cricket Sachin tendulkar as captain of the side. He has been captain of the side before but resigned due lack of results and lack of form. But when the cricket in the country was going through biggest crisis of the time, BCCI approached the Sachin. But he was helpless; god of cricket couldn't take the burden and was more interested to concentrate on his batting. When the Sachinrejected the offer BCCI turned to the Saurav Ganguly Ganguly , it was the chance of the man from Kolkata Saurav Ganguly Ganguly to take up the challenge.

Ganguly all heartedly accepted the challenge; he took the team India from the turmoil to the world cup finals ever after 1983. Saurav Ganguly steadied the wrecked ship, and then there was many to take creditAfter the world cup Saurav Ganguly Ganguly lost his form and the BCCI was taken over by the Mumbai lobby. There stars the great mans decline. And the rest is history, he lost the captaincy and the great come back.

It was not a happy end for Saurav Ganguly Ganguly in the International Cricket; He was in the form of his life when he came back to the side in place Of Opener Virenda shewag. . < Saurav Ganguly went on to become highest run getter for Indian in India's tour of South Africa. He made his first ever double century against Pakistan. He was doing well in the international cricket again. But BBCI were having some other plans they just wanted to bid an adieu to Saurav Ganguly in the south African tour, they thought Saurav Ganguly would crumble in the fast and Bouncy pitches of South Africa, the determined man didn't let go his chance he once again emerged from the ashes.

I t was a real blow for the Mumbai lobby, but eventually they had to put Saurav Ganguly out of the team. < The chairman of selection committee Kris Srikanth conveyed Saurav Ganguly that Saurav Ganguly needed to retires else they have to force him out of the team. There was no way for the lost Prince of Kolkata but to retire, he bid adieu to the international cricket with an 89 in the first innings and a Duck in the second innings. Don't know why Don Bradman too was out for a duck in his final innings.

After his retirement from international cricket Saurav Ganguly played for the Kolkata Knight Riders team. He captained the side. But he couldn't lead the KKR to victory; KKR was the only team in IPL which hasn't entered the semi-finals. But Saurav Ganguly showed his intent with the bat, he won the max number of Man of the match awards in KKR team and he was among the top run getters of the IPL too.
In the fourth season of IPL auction, there is no more chance for the most success full captain of India. Out of the ten franchises no one bided for the favourite son of Kolkata rather the Prince. His home team first ignored him. There was a great outrage in Kolkata over KKR not retaining Ganguly in the team. Effigies of Shah Rukh Khan and Kolkata Knight Riders were burnt in the streets.

How can you exclude a player of GangulySaurav Ganguly .

But the co- owner of KKR SRK seems in a bit of dilemma over Saurav Ganguly , after his and KKR's Effigies were burnt in Kolkata. Mr SRK now behind Ganguly to resolve the issue, he offered the post of Mentor post in KKR. Certainly Mr SRK doesn't want a situation like that happened when Saurav Ganguly was thrown out of the team. Dravid captained the side in pace of saurav and in the match against South Africa in Eden's the crowd booed the Indian team and supported the opposition. It will be a disaster for KKR if something that kind is happened.

Mr SRK is real good at negotiating and hope he negotiates with Saurav Ganguly , but the gods of cricket have shut the door before Saurav Ganguly for ever as a player again.

KKR is having real good team in hands now. They are probable's for the crown this year, and they got everything to cheer about. Batters like Gautam Gmbir and Yusuf Pathan, All rounders like Jacques Kallis and Sakib Al Hassan and Bowlers like Bret lee. But probably KKR miss one important thing A Home crowd to cheer for . Best of Luck Mr SRK and Kolkata Knight Riders
